Mill Neck Visits Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf
Two weeks ago, on December 2, members of the Mill Neck Foundation’s Board of Trustees traveled to the island of Jamaica to visit the Jamaica Christian School for the Deaf (JCSD), located in St. James parish. The purpose? To unveil and dedicate the new John and Virginia Eberlein Memorial Library and Lutheran Friends of the Deaf Technology Centre. The funding for the new building was made possible by grants from Mill Neck Foundation and Lutheran Friends of the Deaf. Administrators, teachers, staff and students (from preschool through high school age) joined our board members to celebrate the new addition to their campus. Board members in attendance were: Mr. Rudolph Auslander, Dr. Richard W. Bimler, Mr. Howard Crumb, Rev. Timothy Yeadon, Mrs. Leslie Schnake. Also celebrating in the ribbon cutting were President and CEO Mr. Michael Killian, Director of International Programs Dr. Amy Wilson and Executive Assistant Mrs. Barbara Lewis.
