Gift Policy Standards
All donations to the Mill Neck Family of Organizations support our mission to enhance the quality of life for people who are Deaf, or who have other special communication needs, through excellence in individually designed educational, vocational or spiritual programs and services.
The Mill Neck Family of Organizations manages a number of fundraising efforts (mailings, events, etc.) throughout the year to provide outstanding programs and services for the children and adults that we serve. The funds used each and every day come from individuals, foundations and corporations who believe in our mission. We will carefully consider the needs of the organizations and will use your gift where we determine it is most needed, unless you select a specific program, so that all donations may directly and indirectly support our services. When processing your gift, we will follow the Mill Neck Family of Organizations’ business rules and best practice procedures.
As a “family” of not-for-profit organizations, we rely on donor financial support. Private donations form an integral part of our support structure, especially when state funding is reduced each year, while the need for our services continues to increase.
The Mill Neck Family of Organizations may refuse any gift that does not sufficiently benefit the organization, is in conflict with the Mill Neck Family of Organizations’ mission, puts the reputation of the Mill Neck Family of Organizations at risk or is prohibited by law.

Donation Refund Policy
For donations made using the millneck.org website, if you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to the Mill Neck Family of Organizations, we will honor your request for a refund made within 30 days of your donation.
To request a refund, contact Donor Relations at Donor.Relations@millneck.org or 516.922.3880/516.558.3315 (VRS). Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation/purchase by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
Your privacy is important to us. We want you to understand our information practices online and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.
What information do we collect? How do we use it? When you request information about a product or service or register for an event, we may need to know specific information about you in order to process your requests and reply to your needs promptly.
Our site’s forms may require you to give us contact information (like your name, e-mail and mailing addresses) and demographic information (like your zip code or age). We may use the contact information from these registration and survey forms to send you information about other programs or events. You may opt-out of receiving future mailings.
